K-Mart Tyre & Auto

My rego is due. Which means I’m due for another in what has been a long litany of crappy car-​related surprises over the years.
This time I swung by K-​Mart Tyre & Auto for my pink slip (Wanna race for pinkies?” What? No. What do you think this is, Grease?”). And, sure enough, I gotta shell out some dough to fix the exhaust on The Black Bandit before it can pass rego. Should have called William Hill, chucked a few hunj on this happening. Would have offset the cost.
Thing is, these guys were good blokes about it. They put the car up on the hoist and showed me what was what, explained the problem to me, and took the time to explain a few other things I might wanna look out for, even getting all upside the chassis with a torch to highlight some hard to reach problem areas. Which is a line I think I stole from an Oral B commercial.
So, yeah, I’m getting slugged. But at least I know why, and am content in the knowledge that these guys know what they’re talking about aren’t out to take me for a ride, which is a feeling I’ve had with some mechanics in the past.
