Very clean and fast family run restaurant. If you want a hearty and meaty soup, their bun bo hue is excellent. The phở is by far the best I’ve had! Definitely worth the trip to Cabramatta, and will be back!!!

Finally! Phở that tastes as authentic/good as Vancouver phở. Outside of Vietnam, really can’t say I’ve had anything that tastes remotely similar to the quality of phở in Vancouver? Or maybe I go to all the wrong places(that’s usually what happens to foreigners). It was my first time in Cabramatta. looking for a Chinese dress. Why did everybody tell me to go to Cabramatta(no address included) to find one? Not the biggest or best selection at all. But I digress. Dingy, small, cramped phở restaurant. Cash only. Sharing tables. I had the medium(smallest size) bun bo hue and it was humongous! The moment I walked in, the waiters knew I spoke Cantonese? Maybe I have a really fobby face that looks super Chinese(although it does not appear this way in China), and they spoke Chinese and Viet … so talented! Anyways we were seated cozily at the same table with another family. The food came right after, with sides of limes and bean sprouts. Absolutely delicious. By the time we left, there was a huge line up outside. Definitely not a place to miss if you’re in the neighbourhood!

The first time I went to Cabramatta, I knew nothing about its trouble past. These days it’s a warm and buzzing town during the day(haven’t been at night). The shops and food(the cane juice, French influenced bread and pastries) remind of me of my home country. PHOBODACBIET — SPECIALBEEF $ 12(med)()Rare beef, beef brisket, tendons, beef balls & beef bible) Located at the end of the main street, once inside I realised that wow this place has been written up in a couple of publications and my expectations were growing. Phở is one of my favourite dishes and it is one of those those very personal dishes where everybody would season, spice or eat it in a different way and method. There are dozens of ways of flavouring it: fresh chilli, chilli sauce, bean sprouts, mint and soy. I like to savour the first few spoons untouched and add some fresh chilli and herbs for the rest. The broth was amazing, light and fragrant so much so that I finished all of it. The noodles had great texture. The mixture of meats made each mouthful different. The rare meat was my favourite, followed by the tripe. This medium sized serving is just enough if you want to try other stuff in town otherwise it’s $ 14 for the larger bowl. Conclusion The Phở of combination beef cuts was delicious. Comparing it to other places I’ve tried so far this is the best one. It is a no-frills dine in and the layout is quite congested but that is to be expected in this kind of place. I can’t wait to try the other famous Phở place in Bankstown. @thesydneynoob

I made the trip from the CBD just to try their phở and it was completely worth it. Phở Tau Bay is a no frills phở joint in Cabramatta. I haven’t been able to find a decent place for phở in the CBD so we made our way out to Cabra just for some legit Viet food. I was more than pleased with the food here. There are lots of phở places in Cabramatta, but from what I here this place is king. Meaning wait in line for it… it’s worth it. Get the phở. No matter how you like your phở just get the phở it’s that good. If you’re in need of some dope phở then make the trip to Phở Tau Bay.

It’s not too often you eat a bowl of phở and the internal voice in your head goes: (substitute the bacon part) Sydney CBD lacks few options in regards to phở, and only a few places do it adequately, like Phở Pasteur. However, come here and like the flavours burst in your mouth. I came with a group of 6 and we went on a short Cabramatta eating tour… Phở Tau Bay did not disappoint. There was a warranted queue before we sat down but we didn’t wait long. You know how it goes with these places, the dirtier the better. Anyway, once you pick your phở you can choose what type of noodle you want, from vermicelli to standard or thin. We ordered a few side dishes to complement the phở and they were real good as well, but the phở was the standout. If you ever head over to Cabramatta do stop by. DAMN…DAMN…DAMN!

I’m not the biggest advocate of phở. It definitely comes last on my soup noodle list. However I was told this was arguably the best phở place in the phở capital of Sydney. Boy it did not disappoint. Awesome flavour at an awesome price only found in Cabramatta. I’d recommend it for all phở lovers and non lovers out there to give it a try.

I have been eating Phở for as long as I can remember. I have had it on three different continents, had my favorite phở joint go from one to another and another, but now I totally screwed myself over as I have found my ultimate favorite in Cabrametta… Australia. Great. I live i California. Phở Tau Bay lives up to the hype. A Google search for the best Phở in Sydney led to this place. While not exactly in Sydney, for those who are in the City proper, it’s worth a drive. Hell, it’s worth a flight over from California! :) The key thing w/Phở is the broth and that’s where PTB excels. There is a hint of sweetness to the broth that it perfectly on point. With the broth comes one important factor: It must remain hot throughout the consumption of the bowl. But once you dunk your beansprouts, it usually cools it down and loses its heat. Well, PTB actually flash boil the beansprouts before bringing them table side, so they are hot, yet crunchy, and don’t cool down your soup. Absolutely freaking genius! Anyway, I’m craving a bowl BAD right now…
