Loved the quaintness of this café! Location not my taste but when you enter the café it doesn’t matter because I felt like it was a little BnB. I loved the ‘open kitchen’ so you could hear and see the prep. My omelette was delicious and i could tell the fresh quality of the produce used. Service was brilliant. It’s on the list (my good one :)

Sketches offers a mix of flavours and caters for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I hear they hold high tea once a month however you need to book quite early.
We went on the weekend and enjoyed brunch in the pegoda area outside. The service and quality of food was matched to the price and environment. It felt like I escaped into a quiet hideaway.
If you visit and enjoy it, make sure you sign up for membership where you get special perks on your birthday!
I will be going back soon to try dinner.

Very nice, small intimate setting, located off Burwood highway. Parking in rear was very handy for customers as extremely busy area pn Saturday night. Friendly staff and owner was welcoming and very helpful. Edamame beans for entrée and chicken pancetta for main was a great choice. Wife had salmon which oddly came with side of fries! Strange but we ate them!
Sketches came highly recommended and for good reason.
