Not for me, nice interior but the food is not up to Bankstown or Cabramatta standards and it’s expensive

Mint is a great little Vietnamese restaurant in Burwood. My favourite dish on a hot summer day would be the Vermicelli especially the lemongrass beef and the grilled pork and spring roll kinds. The vermicelli comes with a generous amount of beef, spring rolls, and grilled pork and is cooked perfectly. Food comes quick after ordering but just confirm the order with the waiter when ordering in case of a mixup which has happened to me.

This was a nice little place which offered traditional dishes with a few interesting ones I’ve never seen in any other restaurant, let alone another Vietnamese place

Good location, clean premises, lovely decoration, polite service. But where they really shine is their food! Phở is easy to get wrong. It’s a simple taste with strong ingredients. Often in Sydney you’ll find Phở is too strong or too weak. But Mint gets it just right! A Phở regular is enough to almost full two regular stomaches. I can’t imagine ordering a large. If you do, you should share, and grab some other goodies to share too! I haven’t seen anyone leave without over ordering and taking a doggie bag with them. And trust me, you want to take it home! One meal from here is not enough! It’s never easy making a cuisine with foreign ingredients. To the Vietnamese palette, Vietnamese good made in Australia will always be foreign as we can never get fresh Brussel sprouts and mint grow in the back yard, in Vietnamese soil. So I consider all food not make in a country of origin as fusion. And this is some quality fusion! What’s more is you can see into the kitchen, which is efficient and immaculate! And the place is usually quite full, even at non meal times, usually with a mix of Vietnamese, Vietnamese-Australians and Australians. A good sign that it’s pleases everyone. Enjoying my meal over authentic chatter as the chefs dance around the flames. A true find in the heart of Burwood! I will be back!

The beef noodle soup was not great. The soup based wasn’t tasty and not rich enough. Prices have gone up and portions smaller. The worst part is the service! Very very rude and difficult waiters! They’ve definitely done well to deter me from coming back ever again! Why do I need to put up with such bad service. Can get better quality and service elsewhere!

So happy to find this local Vietnamese restaurant. — Quick & friendly service. — quality, fresh & flavoursome food — clean modern interior — menu has the usual Vietnamese favourites(eg Phở, Crispy skin chicken, fresh spring rolls) and a few interesting ones which I will definitely come back to try. One of these we did order — Crispy white bait salad, which was the perfect balance of fresh ingredients using carrots, green apple, Spanish onion, mint and crispy fried white bait — finished with sour-salty-sweet dressing and peanuts . — big servings and very reasonably priced, definitely value for money.

$ 11 for a nice bowl of Phở. The broth is up to par and I love their chili sauce on the side. I ordered the sate beef noodle which has a thick sate broth. Since the sate was thick it trapped the heat in and I burnt my tongue trying to slurp down the tasty noodles. The consistency of the noodles were good, not too soft and soggy. The meat slices were OK, but it crumbs up too much in my opinion, leaving only a couple of «larger» pieces and the rest so small it’s difficult to really taste the meat. However, the portion size was large, even though we only ordered the small sizes. This place definitely satisfied our cravings. Service was just ok, just flag the staff down when you need them. Verdict: A-OK, will visit again if in the area

Vietnamese food in a chic and clean environment with modern décor. However doesn’t compromise on taste! These guys do a killer wagyu need phở and the meat just melts in your mouth. Can’t do ordinary phở without wistfully thinking of this dish. Friendly staff and huge portion sizes. Close to burwood station.
