History

Established in 1980.

Intuitive Grooves provides Guitar tuition and Singing tuition at 63 Sunshine Parade Miami on Qld’s Gold Coast. Our teaching business is based on the belief that our customers’ needs are of the utmost importance.

Our principal teacher, Steve Carter has a Diploma of Music from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, is a signed artist with Blue Pie Records and is an internationally published author of a Guitar tutor book series with Koala Publications.

Steve has worked with numerous well known Australian musicians and performers.

Steve Carter Dip. Mus (QCM)

Steve Carter’s versatility has enabled him to perform in a wide variety of venues including clubs, hotels and national festivals in Australia, as a Guitarist and Singer.

He began performing at a very early age and during his informative years, spent two years playing in S.E. Asia and was a Singer/​Guitarist for an extensive U.S. Services tour of Thailand. He later fronted «The Dux Deluxe» a Noosa Heads band with a very popular local following.

Steve often performed Spanish and Classical music, as a soloist, to patrons of the Jazz Cellar in Brisbane and later graduated from the Qld. Conservatorium of Music after which Steve studied for a further 2 years at the Canberra School of Music (A.N.U.) with Timothy Kain and Sadie Bishop, both colleagues of the great John Williams.

He has since published Guitar tutor books with CD’s, ‘Introducing Classical Guitar’, in the U.K., U.S.A., South America, S.E. Asia, and Europe.
