Who doesn’t love spending a night of their holidays in pet emergency with their 16kg Groodle? Luckily we had access to Newcastle Animal Emergency Centre on the Queen’s Holiday public holiday evening where he was able to be seen for what turned out to be the dog equivalent of the common cold.
While they were flat chat and there was a wait, their bedside manner to us and our pooch was above average. Bonus points go to the vet that saw us, Harriet, for being the first vet not to jump straight into offering tablets and potions. Rather she said that much like us, he just needed rest and we could try some honey in his water.
Yes, it’s going to cost you more than your regular vet but what price can you put on peace of mind?
