I went here for dinner whilst travelling from Sydney and it was incredibly disappointing. The food is not authentic Vietnamese and was extremely salty and oily. It was so expensive and totally not worth it. The staff were friendly and that was the only redeeming factor.

Awesome phở, get the spicy if you like chili. The red rice is awesome too but it’s not always available. The phở here is better than a lot of the places I thought were really good back in Sydney and California.

Really really good bun cha(vermicelli). Chicken is good, beef is even better. Spring rolls are good, service is friendly, and it’s much cheaper than the other Vietnamese in Broadbeach. Fun fact — take away bun cha is a good $ 3 cheaper than eat in!

Good Vietnamese food has been one of the things that I’ve missed since I moved to the Gold Coast several years ago. O-me-ly has done a reasonable job of filling in the gap somewhat. O-Me-Ly is pretty unpretentious, and has a fairly wide variety of delicious Vietnamese treats, ranging from cold rolls, through to crispy chicken on tomato rice(my absolute favourite), and of course, beef phở. To be honest, they’re all pretty tasty and delicious, generally authentic, and the prices are reasonable. On the downside, the service is sometimes pretty sloppy, especially on nights when it gets busy. Make sure you ask how long your food will take when you ring up to make a takeaway order or if making a reservation on the night… or you might be disappointed when the food takes a long time to arrive.
