The tort chips here are DELICIOUS. Deep fried crispy strips of tortilla covered in amazing seasoning. You can get them plain with a dipping sauce or a plate of them with guacamole, salsa and sour cream. I always go for the guacamole chip plate with added cheese and steak. Their meat is always tender and well seasoned. I have been eating here for years and will continue to do so. The only down side is that as they are in post office square they only open Monday to Friday from breakfast until around mid afternoon.

If you haven’t had Tort’s Famous chips, you haven’t lived. They are so addictive… I still can’t figure out if it’s the seasoning or the deep fried tort itself… mouth watering at it’s best. When I first got my bag of chips, I got so excited 2 fell out because they’d filled the bag so much… I actually got a bit sad! They have taken the ‘tortilla’ and made it healthy with no procesed food. With the lunchtime chicken tort with a spicy peanut cucumber yoghurt sauce and fresh coriander, how could you not feel like you’ve only eaten no calories? The good thing about Torts, is that they get rid of all the excess fat on the meat before grilling it in front of you to render off any other fat on their meat… great! They also have a selection of vegetarian and breakfast torts if you’re there early in the day. What they are really famous for are the Tort’s Famous chips. The come in a plate with guacamole, sour cream and other salsa sauce like nacho’s usually do, but they taste so much better. You can’t buy these babies anywhere else, they are made from a secret recipe and it’s closely guarded. If you haven’t had yourself a Tort’s Famous experience, you need to try it out.
