Even if you’re out partying at night and trying to find a place to eat in the CBD, don’t bother having their«fresh» pizza. My friend and I ordered a supreme and pepperoni and they tasted stale. Who knows how long the pizza had been sitting there. The pizza crust was actually a bit burnt which we didn’t notice until we sat down! I would never go back here but if you order two slices of pizza, it’s $ 7 versus one slice for $ 4.

I sometimes go here for lunch since it is near my work. The food is good and fresh. It’s not badly priced for a city café. The service however can be hit n miss. Sometimes they want to care, other times they chat amongst themselves and give you foul looks for daring to interrupt to order!

Much in the same vein as many other CBD cafes, Hungry Heart offers a range of sandwiches, salads, drinks, and hot meals. Apart from the name, which sounds to me like some kind of dating service for food-lovers, there’s a lot to like about Hungry Heart. The café space is nice and open, and the set out of the food cabinets means there’s plenty of room for customers to have a look at what’s on the menu. There’s a lovely range of fresh salads and also breakfast options like fruit and yoghurt. Catering is available for meetings or functions.
