The House of Windsor specialises in designer millinery. All tastes and budgets are catered for, with an extensive selection of styles, colours and trims — ranging from the simple to the exquisite. Both ready-​made and handmade hats and headpieces are available.

Customers are encouraged to bring along their outfits to assist in making their selection or to have head wear custom made to compliment their outfit.

Bridal headpieces — exquisite, detailed and extravagant, or simple and understated — the choice is yours! I carry a small range of ready made pieces, but cater primarily for the bride who would like a headpiece that is made especially for her on her special day. Handmade silk flowers and painstaking beading are a signature of the bridal millinery range, coordinating jewellery and floral accessories. Sentimental pieces from family heirlooms such as vintage lace or jewellery can be incorporated into headpieces.

Business Owner

Brenda is the owner of The House of Windsor. She has been doing millinery as a hobby for the past 15 years and was the inaugural winner of the Millinery Award at Eagle Farm. She supplied The House of Windsor with millinery when the store was situated in Windsor. In 2012 she brought the store and moved it to the wonderful, trendy location of James Street, giving up her nursing job and becoming a milliner full time.

Brenda is constantly learning new skills and stretching the boundaries to create new and different looking millinery to meet the changing faces of fashion.

Innovative and dedicated to the profession, she is always ready to assist customers with finding a style that suits both them and the occasion.
