The store itself is great with a lot of clothing choices, very affordable prices too. However, the customer service is consistently shocking. On Saturday 9th May I was served by «Lapesha» who did not greet me, and when I asked for assistance to get an item down from a high rack, she retorted«it’s on the rack at the bottom.» She made no attempt to assist me, and clearly wanted to be any place except work. I’m appalled at her lack of customer service skills and obvious disregard for customers. I emailed the company with feedback and have still not had a response. I have worked in retail for a number of years and would never treat my customers the way this particular individual does. Very disappointed and will not be returning to this store, as much as I love their clothes. Would NOT recommend anyone to go there either due to the disgusting attitude of the staff.

Paper Scissors is a wonderful fast fashion store situated right next to the ever so popular Chic-a-booti. Like Chic-a-booti, it offers fashion forward pieces as ridiculously cheap prices. Whenever I choose to visit Chic-a-booti, I like to include a visit to Paper Scissors. They are almost the same store but I feel Paper Scissors has a slightly less youthful feel. If you have a quick job interview, or a dress for a special occasion, I would pick Paper Scissors over Chicabooti to shop in. Having said that, there are still plenty of fun colourful items of clothing to buy here such as floral sumer dresses, colourful shorts and chambray shirts. Like Chic-a-booti, it is a very spacious store so not everything they sell will be nice but you are bound to find something that you like.

Paper Scissors is a great store to browse in if you’re after basic wear, office gear, or casual night wear. A lot of my office worker friends swear by Paper Scissors when it comes to buying their work clothes, particularly business skirts and dress tops that are youthful without appearing unprofessional. Paper Scissors also stocks a great range of singlets, bottoms, and cute dresses(for day, dinner and clubbing scenarios). The shop interior is quite grand and the ceilings decked out with chandeliers, which tends to clash with the stock on hand.(You’d expect them to sell evening gowns or suits for hire.) But the architecture of the building is beautiful; the store stretches out lengthways and has high, white ceilings that makes shopping at Paper Scissors a lot less claustrophobic than other stores. There are also benches close by on Queen St where exhausted partners can rest their weary feet.
