Explorers Inns

Kurzfristig (ca. 2h vorher) haben wir diese Unterkunft in Brisbane gebucht. Auf der suche nach einer günstigen Unterkunft für drei Personen, welche auch noch zentral ist, sind wir auf dieses Angebot gestoßen.
Leider ist es in der Nähe der Unterkunft mit Parkplätzen sehr schwer. Es gibt die Möglichkeit vom Hotel eine vergünstigte Parkkarte für ein nahe gelegenes Parkhaus zu erhalten, hier muss man aber sehr gut aufpassen, welches Parkhaus man wählt, da man ansonsten im Falschen ein Vermögen hinterlässt (diese Info gab es aber von der Rezeption).
Unser Zimmer war für 3 Personen extremst klein, aber es reichte für die eine Übernachtung. Länger würde ich nicht zu dritt in dieser Unterkunft bleiben wollen. Es gab ein Hochbett und ein normales daneben. Das Badezimmer, war auch sehr klein. Leider musste man zum Kühlen des Raums auch die Kühlung einschalten, welche leider direkt am Einzelbett.
Brisbane ist nicht der günstigste Ort zum übernachten und für diesen Bereich war der Preis ok, aber so ganz passte das Preis-​/​Leistungsverhältnis dann doch nicht.

If you are looking for a cheap hotel in the city it is hard to go past Explorer’s Inns. While Explorer’s boasts «Affordable Excellence» this actually translates to a bed in a room for cheap. There is nothing really wrong with Explorer’s Inns as long as you know what you are getting for your money.
The elevator is tiny and will only hold 4 people at a time. I half felt like I was going to be trapped in it like in a bar horror film but the little guys manage to work each time. The place is certainly not new but at the same time it is kept nice a clean. There are even bookshelves in the halls for you to borrow from. This is excellent considering the tiny television in the room could only pick up channel 7 (and we needed to get a code from reception in order to use it). The room was just a little bigger than the bed, with a tiny fridge and desk. This room had possibly one of the smallest bathrooms I have ever seen in my life. Seriously it was about the size that you find in a camper van. But everything was clean and all the plumbing worked. The bed was comfortable and the air-​conditioning made for a good nights sleep.
This is a great place is you plan to spend most of your time out exploring the city rather than exploring your hotel room.
