Based in the middle of the QUT Gardens Point Campus, Merlo consistently has a line of people ordering coffee, all who are served by enthusiastic and friendly staff.
Merlo beans is a great base for coffee, so the taste is generally there, however, the end result can be hit and miss dependent on the staff operating.
There is also food available in the form of baked goods (biscuits, cake, brownies etc) and some savoury items (panini etc).
Outdoor seating is available and nearby is old government house, grassed lawns and the botanical gardens if a different view is sought.
