Back in 2003 my family and I used to make the rounds to Chicken Spot, some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. Miss it incredibly since our move to the states. Seems like things have changed a bit but my family and I loved it and it seems to be holding up.

After a long day at Monarto Open Range Zoo, we needed dinner and for whatever reason wanted fish and chips. We searched and searched for a fish and chips shop to no avail and somehow or another came accross this place. They have fish and chips — although it specialises more in chicken and pizza. The fish and chips were ok — they did the job, but they werent particularly inspiring or worth writing home about. The staff were friendly and tolerated my 3 year old twins throwing superballs around the shops everywhere(well so they should when they have a vending machine which sells superballs for $ 2 each in the shop!!!). We got some«potato fritters» which to me as a Victorian are known as «potato cakes» and they gave us about 8 of them when we only asked for 4 — so thats a good thing. They also sell Farmers Union Iced Coffee(who doesnt over here) — which as an interstater is a real hit!!! I love the stuff and would even consider moving over to SA because of it! Its only sold at the supermarkets and some service stations in Victoria — not everywhere like here! Anyway, the food here was ok, the staff were pleasant and there was nice big table to sit at while waiting for food. If Im in the area and the need is there, then I will go in again…
