Big bright and clean — gotta love the new aquatic centre in Box Hill. Lots of different pools, a kiddy water slide and various spray things and diving boards. The only glaring omission is a big water slide for the older kids/adults, that is a feature of most other recently built centres. Maybe that’s why this place isn’t so crowded with teenagers on a warm weekend? Can also recommend the café with an all day breakfast menu and Axil coffee. There are the obligatory lollies and ice creams, but plenty of healthy choices here too.

3.5 stars all up for Aqualink. It’s a decent leisure and aquatic centre with a lot of amenities that include 2 large courts for basketball and badminton, an indoor and outdoor pool, tennis courts, 5 aside football area, gym and class areas. The centre is very family orientated and prices are pretty decent with full monthly membership around $ 85. This gives you access to all pools, gym and all classes. They have a no contract policy which in the day and age of lock in gym contracts is pretty good. They also give you free gym programs every six weeks. The only drawback for me as someone who likes spin classes are the time of those classes. Evening spin classes all start around 7.30pm with one at 7pm. In my view this is too late. They also have no spin classes on Thursday or Friday evening. Overall I do really like being a member here. The staff and instructors are lovely. If they made some of their spin classes earlier I would definitely give this place 4 stars.

Great facility. We come just for our son’s swim school but mighty impressed with the rest from the tour. The membership fees and the various levels are a bit confusing but the staff help you through when you are up for it. All you can see when you get in is water everywhere! nice pools indoor and outdoor with diving and a nice water play area. It does get quite hot inside during the day and combined with the chlorination it burns my eyes. Better to be inside water :) A very decent café with a fairly good selection of brekkie and lunch, serving Axil coffee and Chamelia tea(thay speaks for itself). If you are sitting in, It may take a while for your lunch to arrive so be patient and sip on one of those nice juices that come in a jar! Nice family place for a Sunday. Still contemplating on taking up fitness here!

Aqualink Box Hill has been completely redesigned, opening earlier this year. In terms of what it offers it has a 10-lane outdoor 25m pool, 6-lane indoor 25m pool, diving pool, teaching pool, kids water play-ground, hydrotherapy pool, a massive gym(plenty of classes on offer too) and café run by the folk from Choclatte in Camberwell. There are plenty of swim school lessons available too. It’s a lovely centre to walk into, very modern, and the outdoor pool is definitely one of my favourites.
