Gala Photo is a boutique photographic and video studio in Bowral in the Southern Highlands of NSW. We specialise in people — wedding, portrait and event photography and video. Our photography is elegant, timeless and effortless. Our video is stylish and fun. You’ll love what we do! In business for over 15 years and in Bowral for the past 5 years.

History

Established in 1999.

Gala Studio was started by Antonio and his business partner Nick in Brighton-​le-​sands inSydney in 1999. They built the studio into a well respected and highly successful photographic and video enterprise before they decided to go their separate ways in 2002. Antonio retained the Gala name, while Nick started Collective Studio. They still work together on jobs and remain great friends.

Gala Photography was re-​born under Antonio and went from strength to strength, based now in Gladesville in Sydney, and photographing hundreds of weddings, engagements and christenings till 2008.

A move to the country ensued and Gala was relocated to the beautiful town of Bowral in the Southern Highlands of NSW.

Here, with the gorgeous countryside, amazing wineries and guest houses, Antonio has settled in and continues wedding photography and video services to the region and is now relied upon by local dance schools and high schools for efficient and quality video and photo packages.

Gala is owned and run by Antonio — the principal photographer and videographer. Here’s a bit about him:

Portuguese by birth | Grew up in Paris | Lives and works in the Southern Highlands of NSW | Loves photography, but especially film | Is married | Has children (4!) | Seriously enjoys photographing weddings | Speaks 4 languages | Likes to dance | Loves red wine and cheese | Always makes people laugh | Never breaks a sweat, so just the guy to have around at a wedding! | Works with Nikon and Hasselblad | Knows his stuff

For Antonio, photography is a passion, not a job and you’ll sense that as soon as you meet with him. Gala specialises in candid wedding photography that captures each moment and grabs your attention.
