History

Established in 2004.

Having a child who loved computers from a very early age, we found sourcing affordable, good quality educational software & non-​violent games very difficult in Australia in the late 90’s, so we had to buy from overseas. It occurred to us that other parents would be in the same boat, so we started buying a few instead of just 1 for ourselves, putting the balance on Ebay. In 2004 we launched the Aussie Kids Software website, and now we not only retail online, but we wholesale supply bricks and mortar stores such as newsagencies, book stores, licensed post offices, & educational stores.

I am a mum of 3 children — 1 boy and 2 girls. My son is a teenager now, & has Aspergers & ADD. He is the inspiration for this business, getting onto my computer from the age of 12 months & wanting a go! My girls are currently 6 and 4, & discovering some of the wonderful titles their brother used to play. All the kids are involved in testing & reviewing our product range & my eldest daughter even helped me choose the Aussie Kids Software logo — a real family business!
