The travel industry, like most things, is changing with the prevalence of the Internet and online booking etc. I wanted to bring the personality back to the travel industry and encourage people to recognise that your holiday begins the moment you open a travel book, or see a picture of a place you might like to go to — to bring back the excitement of planning and booking your trip. The joy of the Travel Café is you can come in and have a coffee and something to eat, read a travel book and take your time dreaming up what you might like to do, and where you might like to go. You don’t have to book anything, you may just plant the seed for your next adventure.

History

Established in 2012.

The Travel Café by Whitestar travel at 163 Glenayr Avenue, Bondi Beach, was opened in December 2012 pioneering a new environment to book travel. Superb local ground coffee and fresh organic foods are available to buy whilst enjoying the atmosphere that Trish has created. Traditional travel consulting is on offer alongside iPads for customers to use to book online travel themselves whilst having the peace of mind that a professional consultant is on hand for any questions. And if that’s not enough, with its large open window and outdoor seating, The Travel Café provides the perfect venue to simply soak up the local Bondi atmosphere and read the daily newspaper or travel magazine.
