Really nice interior! We were expecting a flavor explosion but it turned out to be a regular south Asian food with a western filter. Nothing that stood out in regards to normal Asian take away. Great price though.

Been there few times, mainly get the rice rolls which is good but overpriced I think, two for $ 9(or maybe 8). Used to order phở(beef rice noodle soup), but the size is too small for a meal and it is $ 16. Where as in any other Vietnamese restaurants around Sydney, you could get a huge bowl for $ 12 – 14. I guess it is because the rent is super high in Bondi. But at least a main meal is supposed to be filling.

Misschu is not pretentious. Which makes it perfect for someone like me, who casually(and often) is quite clumsy! Fast and polite service, and humbling crate chairs with cushions on it, the whole atmosphere makes you relaxed and ready to eat! There is a bit of style in the way they run the place though — for example, instead of a water, they have a giant kettle sitting in ice full of water because it just. looks. cooler! As for the food, though a little pricey for the small serving portions you receive, the quality is quite tasty! Firstly we had the peking duck pancakes, wrapped well and with tender duck in it. General consensus was that they were quite delicious, possibly the favourite! We also tried the asian vegetable and pork dumplings, soaked in soy sauce and not overly chewy. They were also very generously filled, the veggies jumping out in the first bite! Such a great decision to go here, I’d definitely recommend it!

Found this place walking around Bondi looking for a healthy place to eat that was open and inviting. I stumbled into a alley and here was Miss Chu’s. I really loved the feeling and vibe this place gave off. The wait staff was young and hip and the food was very good, fresh and healthy. I ordered a chicken satay dish with rice which was very yummy and reminded me of good old comfort food. I left happy, full, and knowing I found a small gem in Bondi.

Decided to order some take away last night, wasn’t as good as I thought it would be, being that my boyfriend talked this place up heaps, slightly disappointing but ok though!

Went here for date night and just wound up confused and hungry. Is there service? Is it a restaurant? Is it a bar? Is it a takeaway place? Just made it up as we went along, so despite the guy bringing us water at first, we got our own refills(the menu snarkily tells you to do it yourself anyway). Also figured out we should probably fill out our own menu/order like yum cha — tick off boxes with a pencil and bring it up to the counter. Or was the guy supposed to bring it up to the counter? Who knows. Food comes out sporadically, and it’s in tiny portions. Three dumplings for $ 8.5. Four tiny spring rolls with barely two bites each for something similar. We ordered two sets of dumplings, the spring rolls, a set of duck wraps barely the size of a thumb, a banh mi, and an egg custard bun($ 50 all up) and I barely felt like I’d eaten anything when I left. This is not a positive commentary on how light and fit the food leaves you feeling either. I felt empty when I left. And my wallet was a bit more so too.

I come here about once a fortnight! Great food, very quick once you’ve ordered, though it is hard to get attention from the waiters sometimes. Also, some dishes are overpriced compared to others. Usually I order a combination of the tuna sashimi rice paper roll, peaking duck pancakes, shanghai dumplings, fish of the day, or phở(not the vegan phở…). Anything other than our regulars is usually a huge let down. Do NOT order the pork belly stew!!!

Just wanted a quick meal that was tasty, healthy, fresh and fast. I love the casualness of eating here. It’s fun, quirky and you can always be sure of getting a good feed. Unlike some asian inspired cuisine that leave you hungry unless you fill up on rice these portions are good. Even my man, who eats a lot, feels sated after a meal here.

Super good tasting Vietnamese food. The pork banh-mi sandwich is great(thicker bread and pricer than I’m used to in America). Get one of the slushy drinks too, I got the one with coconut, lychee, and cucumber — delish!

A Bondi favourite. The rice paper rolls are very filling and come with great dipping sauce. I would try a cocktail or slushee, they are a little pricey but they’re packed with flavour and fruit.

Enjoyed the kitchy fit out, food was actually better than expected. Many fresh dumplings, and Vietnamese classics with a modern spin. Full bar with creative, high qualitydrinks. A tad pricy, but that can be said for any Sydney restaurant.

After reading the previous reviews, we came here prepared for battle. But unfortunately for our agro-charged preconceived notions, the only discrepancy we had was a bed of rice instead of the requested noodles, and even with hasty American blood running though my veins, I didn’t think it was quite worth going to war over.(Shocker, I know.) Instead, we received three bowls of piping hot and delicious food, kind and accommodating service, and a bottle of Sriracha that would give Shaq a small-man complex. Sure, the prices are a bit above average, but so was the food. And those frozen young coconut shushes are worth their weight in banana flowers. Mark this down as one of my favourite local lunch spots.

@Mai M. you must be talking about the blond woman with short hair and tattoos. Others know of her also and they call her bi%ch face! She can be extremely rude and arrogant. The dumplings and spring rolls are good but definitely over priced. The Phở has only tiny bits of beef and the broth has no flavor. The cocktails are nice but again, overpriced which would be fine because it is a nice little place right next to the beach. Unfortunately, it doesnt matter how great the food, drinks, and location are, if the staff is rude, I will not return.

Misschu on the corner of William St was my favourite discovery last year, so I was stoked when I heard it was opening just around the corner from me at the beach. I was not disappointed — The rice paper rolls were as tasty & fresh as I remembered, the pineapple & mint crush delicious, and it’s also licensed. Whilst it’s incarnation at Opera Kitchen feels a bit removed from its ‘hole-in-the wall’ origins, Misschu in the new Bondi Hotel laneway has a laid back vibe, and though brand new it feels like you’ve stumbled onto an institution. Be prepared to queue on busy evenings & get ready to leap into any available deckchairs or milk crate — it will be worth the wait.
