Fresh At Bondi

Okay, maybe I should have had a drink with my lunch, but after having some really spicey Thai food I knew that I needed something to cool my mouth down a bit. So it happened I didn’t have to go any further than a couple of paces when I suddenly discovered that I was standing outside a fruit and veg store that sold freshly squeezed juice. Okay, there are a number of places where you can get freshly squeezed juice but what set this place out from many of the others is that I could get lemon juice, which seems to be an absolute rarity these days. Oh, they also sell them in small bottles, which means that you don’t have to wait around for them to squeeze it, especially on those days that the hordes descend upon Bondi Beach. Another thing that I noticed what that they also sell pre-​cut and peeled fruit, which is really helpful when the only thing you bring to the beach is your togs and a towel.

Fresh At Bondi is a mini market near the beach that features a small selection of produce, a juice bar and the sort of groceries the surrounding neighbourhood hankers after: gluten-​free crisps, artisan cheese, organic teas.
The Health Emporium and Earth Food Store are superior to Fresh At Bondi but for a few quick bits, it’ll do.
