Our Bondi meeting spot. The Ricotta pancakes are still fabulous. Corn fritters are a cheeky treat… The menu is always changing & yummy! #mustvisit

English see below. Das Bills. Immer voll. Pärchen, Freunde, Familien, Alleinsitzende. Frühstück, Lunch, Dinner. Oder einfach was trinken. Das ist gekonnt. — Nach einigem Probieren habe ich den Kaffee der wähle gefunden. Ein Latte. Wunderbar. Service, food, professionality and customer orientation are far above average. DON’T MISS!!!

Awesome food and great service! Super fresh and well made. However, the milkshakes are not as good as I had hoped…

Amazing food… slightly overpriced but delicious and healthy options! We went there for brunch and everything from their ricotta scramble to their smoked salmon was truly satisfying! I would highly recommend this restaurant for any meal of the day… bar scene is great too!

This is a great option not too far from the beach in Bondi. The ambience is relaxed but nice. The service was quite fast, with our food coming out shortly after ordering. Speaking of the food, it was amazing. The spiced chicken was great, as was the tofu curry.

I am still happy to say that the big breakfast is the best big breakfast I have had so the 4 stars is for the breakfast menu. With this in mind 3 of us went for lunch today hoping for the same quality for their lunch menu. Between us for lunch we ordered the wagyu burger, hot cakes and I had the pesto. The pesto had an interesting mix of tastes but was a bit light and not very filling. The other dishes were ok but unfortunately didn’t match the big breakfast standard that we had hoped. The meals and drinks are pricey so with that in mind just keep this place as a breakfast option. The staff are extremely polite and helpful and they really enjoy explaining and recommending the menu.

I came here because of the great reviews on Unilocal, but I’m not as big of a fan as others are. Don’t get me wrong, they’re not bad; I just wouldn’t pick this as my first choice out of the brunch options I’ve tried so far in Sydney. I ordered the Fresh Aussie– don’t know what I was expecting, but it wasn’t the plate that I received. The foods were exactly what the menu had stated, but I thought they would’ve been concocted in some way that was better than the combo of the ingredients. Alas, it was just each of the ingredients laid out on the plate. It came with a slice of lemon to spruce it up a bit, but this is not a dish I would order again from here. If I’m back here again, I’ll definitely be looking at some other dish that’s popular. The chai tea I ordered was quite different than others I’ve tried; it was not only a lot milkier than American versions, but it was chalkier if that makes sense? As if it had been made from fine powder like misutgaru. The taste itself was light and ever so sweet, but the texture was unexpected. Other than that, the staff were friendly, and the bathrooms were clean.(Btw… the bathrooms remind me of a bathroom on an Amtrak train– the doors slide out and have hooks to lock, dimly lit, and spacious)

Saved by an attentive waiter. Table of 6 Had a few pleasant entrees. Ordered the duck ragu, it arrived with 2 tiny shreds of duck and a scattering of mushrooms. Thus unfortunately left the pasta somewhat dry and uninteresting. Others ordered snapper, steaks and chicken. They were received quite well but no one that impressed. Then… the waiter obviously heard my comment and arrived with a dish of the ragu sauce. Added it to my pasta dish and I got to taste the ragu. So… top marks to the waiter and perhaps a lot fewer to the kitchen staff. There are better options nearby.

Went here last weekend based on the reviews I had read and it did not disappoint. The restaurant itself is a fresh open space and comfortable seating. Very important for a relaxing breakfast! I had the corn fritters with bacon and avo salsa. It was delicious, full of flavour and cooked to perfection. The portion size was spot on. Value for money, but you wouldn’t be hungry for a while. However the real star was the ricotta pancakes which my husband had. The were light, buttery melt in your mouth deliciousness on a plate. The Canadian maple was not too sweet, bananas perfectly ripe and the honeycomb pieces… Let’s just say I got to taste one tiny piece! We will definitely be back!

Been to Bills a fair few times now, they have an interesting menu. But known for their scrambled eggs for breakfast, they are really good, but a bit over priced for eggs. I have also had the pulled pork burger at lunch, this is also really good, but you do need a salad or some sort of side to go with it. Finally I have also had the steak at dinner time, this was anaziing, the steak is a thinner one, but mine was cooked to perfection(medium rare). Worth while trying out Bills, it has good environment, friendly staff, and overall a good experience. Probably a little bit expensive for what you get… But hey that’s Bondi they got to pay rent some how.

When I told my NSW-born husband that I had gone to breakfast at Bills he laughed at me and said that is where people had brunch in the 90s. I think he was over exaggerating a little, but it did define that Bills has that ‘brunch institution’ thing going for it. Everyone goes there because it was one of the first to do interesting breakfasts, and also won’t bat an eyelid at paying $ 25+ for breakfast. The food is tasty and their corn fritters and hotcakes have a bit of a following in Sydney. I enjoyed my corn fritters but they were as good as any I’ve had and definitely not the best. Coffee was ok but the staff knew nothing about it. They serve both espresso and filter, although on enquiring about a filter our waitress told me «we don’t do that». When I questioned why they had 3 x v60 cones at the front she said«that’s for pour over». Ok. So if you’re into filter coffee, ask for a pour over! Definitely one of the better places for brunch in Bondi, but still a bit pricy/lacking in service for a 5 star rating. Probably one I would recommend checking out for lunch or dinner for better value.

Along with hordes of others, we headed down to Bills at Bondi for a relaxed Sunday brunch. They don’t take bookings, and when we rocked up around 9.45am there was already a backlog of people waiting for tables — the manager was helpful though, taking our name and telling us there would be a 20 minute wait. Can’t fault the place for being popular! We wandered down to the beach in the meantime before returning back to take our table. We did have to wait another 15 mins, making it 35 in total — but to their credit, once we’d taken our seats the staff didn’t make us feel at all rushed, and provided good service even though they were clearly busy. The food is simply great. I had the broken egg plate, with ricotta, chilli, spinach and sourdough toast, and let me tell you it was some of the best eggs I’ve tasted. Coming from a vegetarian that’s pretty high praise! The ricotta made the dish beautifully creamy, and aside from needing a touch more chilli I couldn’t fault the food. The service does have a little room for improvement — my drink arrived after my food — but the staff were all very friendly and helpful, with a nice helping of eye candy to boot(which is perhaps partly why the clientele is predominant yummy mummies and beautiful girls?). The toilets, incidentally, are also beautiful — I’ll let you decide whether that’s important for a brunch venue, but overall Bills is well worth a visit and I would definitely return.

I rocked up at Bills a bit shattered. Direct from the airport, with a cold I’d developed in flight, my room wasn’t ready at the hotel(but really, when is it when you totally need it?) and I’d spent the previous week sleeping about half as much as I needed to. But Bills turned it all around, y’all. From the cute American dude from San Diego who suggested I peruse the Daily Telegraph to the perfect scrambled eggs, by the end of my meal here I was on my way to being human once again. They have a terrific selection of magazines along the back wall — Monocle, Frankie and the like — so even if you come here alone you’ll be in good company. The scrambled eggs are an absolute must order(trust me). Beyond that, I’d also recommend the chia seed pot with coconut yogurt and the almond milk chai(if you like yours spicy, and somewhat chewy). I never did get to try the famous Bills ricotta hotcakes with banana and honeycomb butter but on every visit I debated ordering them. Bottom line: Definitely don’t leave Bondi without breakfast at Bills.

Walking past the restaurant it gives the impression of stylish dining at no doubt stylish pricing but when you look at the prices they are very fair and reasonable and makes you think let’s try it. We decided to go with Calamari small dish then Pulled Pork and a prawn Omlette with a side of herbed fries. The Calamari was delicious and mixed well with a squeeze of lime. The omelette was very bland in flavour and disappointing. Was a dish you would be upset with if you ordered but luckily we were all sharing. The prawns were the nicest part of the dish . The BBQ pulled pork was a culinary delight. The dish came with lettuce and peanuts and was meant for eating as a wrap. The crunch of the lettuce provided intense flavours and just kept you wanting more and more. This was the best dish of the lot. Overall the staff were very friendly and gave good recommendations on food selections and told stories about the history of the company . Good dining experience :)

My girlfriends and I landed in Sydney from Los Angeles and within one hour from customs to hotel then to restaurant… we were sitting at Bill’s and the manager(who was awesome) allowed us to order a late night dinner before the kitchen was schedule to close. It kicked off our trip with a bang and we enjoyed our Bill’s dinner feast — it was very memorable. The dishes were fantastic and we enjoyed the experience. We eat at many restaurants and we were all very happy with the food, ambiance and service. The location in Bondi is great and it’s close to the Messina’s in Bondi Beach — a huge plus! We look forward to visiting again.

My girlfriends and I got into Sydney at 9pm on a Tuesday night, dropped our stuff at our airbnb an immediately walked to Bills. The manager said the kitchen was closing, but he’d love for us to come back the next night. We explained to him that we had just gotten off the plane and he very graciously let us sit and order if we promised to do it quickly. I am so glad he accommodated us because the food here is really good. It was a great introduction to Sydney and Bondi! Thank you Bills for a first great meal! It made our stay in Sydney get off to an awesome start. My favorite dish was the tuna and brown rice. It was basically tuna poke with a ton of avocado. Yum! If I’m ever in Sydney again, I am definitely going back here!

I’ve been to the Bill’s in Surry Hills a couple times and always thought it was just OK, nothing spectacular. Well I’ll be damned, the Bondi version of Bill’s is quite spectacular. I’ve been here for lunch and dinner now and each time I’ve come away impressed, since I never really had any expectations in the first place. Service is great, and the crowd here is pretty eclectic, ranging from surfer blokes to suits, so you get an interesting vibe. For lunch I’ve had the pork belly burger, the corn fritters, and the korean fried chicken. Delicious. For dinner my friends and I didn’t recognise some of the ingredients on the menu and came away surprised by some of the dishes. We ordered 3, and noticed most dishes are on the healthy side. The kale linguini/brocollini is AWESOME… totally unexpected, and totally awesome. The salmon with noodles is also delicious, with the roasted salmon tender and tasty. The pork belly was not what we expected at all, it’s kind of korean bbq style where you wrap it in lettuce wraps and without any crackling. Out of the 3 dishes we ordered it was my least favourite, but it wasn’t bad by any means, just not what we expected. All in all a great new addition to Bondi for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I would love to try all the items on the menu now.

Dropped in after a short visit to the beach. We had been told it was a good place for simple but tasty food. My husband had the parmesan chicken schnitzel and I had the crisp pork belly sandwich. OMG, my sandwich was incredible! I think the chili sauce inside added a kick that made my taste buds go into spasm in a great way. I just looked at my husband and he knew something was going on with me. I couldn’t talk. I was in shock with how delicious this simple looking sandwich was. My husband was so jealous that he asked if I would share. I almost said no — but gave in. His chicken dish was also good but he preferred my pork belly sandwich. We ended our meal with cappuccino’s and the ricotta hotcakes, banana & honeycomb butter dessert. it was good but it was kinda missing a little sweetness and another banana would have helped with that. Overall, it was good and filling. The service was fantastic and our waitress was superb. She was beautiful with curly flowing hair and she had the most wonderful zest for life and super friendly. We had one of the best times at bills and we would highly recommend dropping in for a meal. They also have some great healthy items in case your looking for a good mix.
