Perfect place to stop for the breakfast after a big night out: D We stopped in with boo and two friends and scored a nice seat in the ‘sunroom’ type area. While the place is not the cleanest, the atmosphere is nice and the staff are friendly. Unfortunately I ordered the big breakfast minus the meat, swapping the meat for hashbrowns. Sadly I was given just beans and eggs on toast so had to ask the server to fix it up, which she did promptly and the mushrooms were yummy and well worth getting her to find for me. $ 10 schnitzel for the hubby which was moist and great for the price and Boo had pancakes which she demolished! The ordering area is reminiscent of a cafeteria where you walk by fridges etc and pay at the end but was efficient. We will be back.

Fair bit smaller than the Mile End site but much newer and easier to access. Smaller range of cakes but a great variety of hot meals with plenty of specials. Great option for a meal or snack.

Reliable, conveniently open late; not the place to go for healthy eating but for a late night supper or dessert it’s great… or if you’re after a pie floater at midnight…

Villi’s bakery is a South Australian institution and this spot on main north road is the newest incarnation of its shop front. We’ve come here before with overseas guests to The Show on PBAFM specifically to introduce them to the joy, the challenge that is the Pie Floater. This 24 hour bakery is clean, well lit, well stocked and very well used. We’ve been here for kranski and chips, pie floaters, and the simple pie and doughnut. The food is consistently good though the coffee is less than I’d hoped. But that’s probably because we are spoilt by the many cafés around metro Adelaide.

Initially we were put off by the long line of people but they were able to serve a large group of people in a short amount of time. There is a wide selection of food to choose from. The usual pastries and cakes. So many flavours of pies. Schnitzels, salads, kranskies, hot dogs, hash browns, chips etc. wide range of drinks to choose from. Plenty of parking. I will be sure to return.

How excited were we North siders when we found out that the beloved iconic Café de Vili’s was opening a second joint in the North Eastern suburbs?! No longer did we have to endure long drives in order to get a good, late night feed. Being a major fan of their original spot I could only hope for only good things to come from their second café and I am not disappointed. They have most if not all the menu items you will find in their original café but I think this place is even better than the original! Yep i said it. The signature gravy they have on their chips is perfect and is not salty at all which I find can be the case at the other Vili’s café. You will find their usual suspects such as the mixed grill, the Vili’s burger, a range of delicious savoury goods such as quiches and pies as well as doughnuts and these giant cookies for those who are feeling up to a sugar hit. They also have an extensive variety of drinks as well much more than the original joint actually. I have to point out how good the value the food is as well and the portions are HUGE. MASSIVE! I also love how modern and bright the restaurant is and it’s kept very, very clean. Also the staff are so friendly! Really nice! Been here so many times in past two months and I never had bad service. Just feels really local which is nice. This may not be good for my waistline but I am not even complaining! Definitely will be my regular spot.

Finally a 24 hour bakery and hot food haven in the north eastern suburbs !!! Can’t go past café de villis. the 2nd store now open in enfield. A modern front with ample car parking which is definitely needed. this place is busy at ALL hours. Here you can find all your favorite vilis treats including their extensive pastries and sweets. mmm doughnut with sprinkles, my favourite ! This place will become the local go to for those looking for a quality feed at any time of day or night!
