Back in the olden days, and by that I mean the 1990s, fish & chipperies were about the only place to get a nice, juicy burger. Now, they’re just about everywhere and most restaurants will probably up the ante.
But sometimes you just want a good ol’ burger. No ‘lean’ beef, no gluten-​free buns, no relish, just an average joe burger. On those occasions, I suggest Flaked out. The burgers are fairly huge, they’re cheap, they’re packed with artery-​clogging goodness (cheese, bacon, fried onions), and the shop isn’t littered with stupid jokes that try to appeal to the ‘younger’ generation (cough, grill’d). If you’re a no frills kind of man, or woman, pick up ya feed from this joint. Oh and the fish is good too.
