I am not a frequent flier at Sizzlers however I am there perhaps once, maybe twice a year. Yes, the food is adequate. I emphasise adequate, it is not amazing and a lot of it tastes pretty cheap and ordinary and thats an accepted part of the Sizzler journey. However, the price is now increasing. Value for money is important, people don’t mind the food being all about quantity and not quality when you know you have a good deal however, when you are paying $ 40 for a steak that is burnt on one side, raw on the other and just generally disappointing, the frustration seems to increase as the price does. Wait staff were friendly enough but this is no longer a bargain option. It is overpriced and quality is not matching those prices.

Food was ok, compared to the quality it’s a bit pricy, it just tasted like fast food, the environment was so horrible! Food, ice– everywhere on the floor and tables! How can those people be so messy?

I don’t know what it is about Sizzler, but it just doesn’t quite come up to scratch for me. The menu is a bit on the pricey side for what you get, unless you want to endlessly eat from the salad/dessert bar. The food that is served up is not really that nice and during peak times, you have to line up for ages to get a seat. I’ve also had coffee that’s tasted a bit off from the machine(may have been the milk). So overall, from dining at the Morley and Kelmscott restaurants, it’s not really«my cup of tea», as I prefer quality over quantity.

I rocked up at this Sizzler last year after a long break so I was interested to see what I thought of it. In one sentence: I loved it. Overpriced joy. OK, two sentences. I had to add that last part, for balanced journalism. I did love Sizzler. The free cheese bread is still the pinnacle of the delightful experience though. And the salad and dessert bar are not top quality but you can just eat so much! And a lot of the stuff is pretty mouthwatering. The apple crumble stood out as number one dessert favourite for me this time. I also ordered the sliders. An American idea where you have a few mini-burgers lined up in a row. My sliders were totally divine and I would definitely go back for more. Two chicken and two beef. Mmm. Mmm. Ah, the joy. But, like I said — overpriced joy. I hadn’t been to Sizzler in a number of years and I was a tad shocked to realise you have to pay extra for the drinks. Extra for the drinks? No, now that’s unSizzler like. My sliders were obviously extra too and I feel I was conned by a clever advertising job. A large sign at the front of the restaurant proclaimed the sliders were selling for an extremely cheap price. I decided to purchase them there and then. Upon payment I realised the sliders cost a lot more than I expected. This was because they were the cheaper price only on some random night of the week. Of course. OK, I was conned by an advertising job, not necessarily a clever one. Read the fine print people and enjoy the joy that is sizzler. Delish!

If you haven’t hear of Sizzlers you come from a remote part of the world, however for those who don’t know its an all you can eat buffet style family restaurant marketed as value for money. I am always amazed regarding the number of people queuing up at the front of this place come lunchtime, tea time and even on a Sunday morning– this place is rammed with a trail of hungry people waiting to be seated. I just don’t get it? I spent one glorious sunny afternoon waiting in a sweaty line to be seated in the most perverse eating Establishment ever. The place hummed with the sound of fat Homer Simpson’s eating and I don’t think I saw one person smile in there. I would liken the experience — to pigs to a trough. This place is also overpriced for what you get. I had the chicken Kiev and it was a massive nugget filled with oil. Their were loads of salads to choose from, so I am sure you could have found a decent one there. I wasn’t really surprised, its just another pedestrian service that people love.
