Had been coming here for a while but have since moved on. Some of the girls who work there have serious attitude. With that being said the last time I came here the stylist left after tinting my brows to gossip to the receptionist about a client that had just walked out which made me feel extremely awkward as I could hear everything! Far out if I didn’t have tint on my brows I would’ve walked out right at that moment. It is also cash only so I took off one star for the service and one star for the payment options. I still gave it three stars because Mel’s eyebrow technique is amazing and one of the best. If you are lucky enough to secure an appointment on her long waiting list it is definitely worth the wait. Prices have become a bit much and go up every couple months,($ 75 for first time, $ 55 or $ 60 for maintenance when I last checked) and a few of my friends can’t seem to get replies about bookings or current prices after months of waiting. Service needs an extreme overhaul. Oh well, I’ve now got a different eyebrow stylist who does the exact same technique so I am extremely happy and will be recommending my friends to her from now on.

Firstly they have moved and the brow salon is now located at: 1⁄79 Whatley Crescent, Bayswater. The new premises is beautifully fit out and well air conditioned, but the choice to still not have card facilities seems ridiculous to me. The girls were all lovely, except for the receptionist forgetting my name 3 times. Laura did my brows and she was great. This is by far the best my eyebrows have ever looked. But she waxed them twice and three times in some areas which have left them still red and tender over 24hrs after. If my brows didn’t look so fricking good I’d be very annoyed. The place has a few drawbacks and if my brows weren’t so super duper amazing they’d be getting only 3 stars.

This year I have had a bit of an obsession with eyebrows. In my eyes(pardon the pun) there is no such thing as an eyebrow being too thick or possessing too much of a defined arch. I’m talking Brooke Shields circa 82 aspirations people! I have visited a few different brow specialists in Perth now, and Melanie is definitely my favourite. For $ 60(cash only, no cards accepted) I can’t afford to go very often, but when I do I walk out feeling like a whole new person — a person with beautiful eyebrows! Make sure you book in advance, about a month ahead.

Long gone are the days of scraggly ‘tadpole’ brows; it’s all about full, perfectly arched peepers. All you have to do is flick through any fashion or celebrity magazine and you’ll see all the beautiful faces are framed with a striking set of Elizabeth-Taylor-esque brows. Eyebrows are the anchor to your face and can seriously make you look ten times younger and ten times more attractive — IF done correctly. It can be a daunting and delicate procedure. I know all too many ladies who’ve played victim to some serious over-tweezing and been left with the painful month-long experience of living with your comical eye-frames until they grow out. No need to freak out ladies, you can place your trust in Melanie Marris; no one knows beautiful brows better than Miss Marris. Working from Theisah beauty studio in Maylands, Melanie Marris offers eyebrow shaping and maintenance in a peaceful and disarming setting. With eight years in the biz, Melanie Marris has become well-acquainted with what constitutes the perfectly formed brow. Let her be your eyebrow guidance.
