El Janah is pretty much an institution in itself. This review is probably not even required with the cult following this place has. For anyone living in a shoebox or maybe just further from the west you may have not ventured out far enough to get caught up in the hype but I will confirm«it’s all true!». So make the journey out to the Wild Wild West… It is an experience you cannot die not knowing. This is why when you head down to Granville at any given time of the day whether it be breakfast or a late night dinner this place is pumpin’! It’s known for its tasty crispy skinned charcoal chicken teamed with the creamy garlicky garlic sauce, you get some Lebanese bread & pickles as part of the package and feast! Make sure you get some chips with their famous chicken salt which tastes like the chips have been rubbed over a charcoal chicken and for those like me who always like a little fresh and green grab a serving of tabouli(Lebanese parsley salad) to balance it all out.

Garlic sauce and charcoal chicken. Unlikely combination but when they get together, its my form of heaven. I’ve been frequenting Habib’s in Bankstown for a long, long time and its one of the best, along with El Jannah at Granville. They have other dishes such as lamb kofta, but ordering this is like ordering chicken at a steakhouse. The charcoal chicken comes with the garlic sauce, pickles and flat bread, but order some fries for that extra hit of carbs. The service and ambiance is casual and not fantastic, but you can forgive them once you taste the garlic sauce. So if you’re ever in the Bankstown area, this place is a must. Yummo!
