Darling Pies & Cakes

A simple establishment in Balmain; nothing overly on the fancy end. Probably positioned to be a high quality cheap bakery, yet it serves its purpose for those of us who want to party and celebrate (or even treat ourselves) in style and are on a budget, and is something that has a bit more class than nearby Bakers Delight.
It is great to just even buy a simple sponge cake with jam and cream in the centre, and the guest at any given celebration (just a simple birthday celebration, or something for the kids) will love you for it. Why bother buying a cake mix and/​or cooking a sponge cake from scratch when you can buy a quality sponge cake; or even a tea cake from here. They sometimes sell great little stunning cupcakes; great for something simple with a bit of chic and finesse. I love this place for that reason. Simple is often the best, and by keeping it simple sometimes you can’t help but appeal to more people. This establishment has hit the nail on the head for this purpose in mind. Even just a great opportunity to have cake along the park for a picnic. The perfect locale in mind for this.
