I made the mistake of leaving a rather important international Christmas gift to the last minute. So I ended up having to seek some options for a quick and safe international delivery at the busiest time of year for post/parcel/courier companies. After trawling the internet I decided to pop in to Pack & Send on my way home from Chermside one afternoon. Of course as soon as I walk in I see a special for Christmas deliveries, my heart leapt! Only to find out moments later that it expired a week ago, not ideal. I decided to enquire with the lady at the counter and it turns out that delivery price was much of a muchness and it would arrive about a day quicker. Because I am a sucker for good customer service I ensured the lovely lady(Maria) that I will be back in on Wednesday to post it. Arriving Wednesday to find out it is a little cheaper than initially thought was nice and Maria set everything up in less than 5 minutes. I was out the door with my tracking number in hand and promised a 3 – 5 day delivery, which was exactly what I got. It was signed for at the other end before my gift from England(posted before) had arrived. One small bone to be picked, is that I was ensured that no duty or taxes would be applied at the other end. Although the gift receivers father had to fork out 11 quid, this is the reason I have only given it 3 stars. So when sending anything overseas be sure to investigate possible charges at the other end. Also, when sending things express, be prepared to pay a lot, it’s unfortunate, but it’s true.
