Always On My Mind Flowers & Chocolates

I am fussy about most things, but flowers just happened to be one of the things I am most fussy about. When I was planning my rush wedding I was prepared to take short cuts on everything, including my dress but not the flowers! I had one month to put together the wedding and find a florist I liked and could afford with our rush wedding budget.
I probably got a quote and/​or looked at every florist in a 30 kilometre radius and hated them all or thought they were too pricey. I should add I studied floristry once upon a time, grew up almost next door to a flower farm and an too quirky for my own good. So we can assume it was probably wasn’t the florists being awful but more me having ridiculously high standards.
My husband and I were in the strip that AOMMFC is on looking at the adorable cake shop when we noticed the small florist. My husband urged we go in as I was reluctant having just been enraged by the florist we saw previously (yes I was a bridezilla but I had one month, give me a break!) so we walked in.
I told the friendly lady who greeted us that we needed flowers for our wedding, instantly she closed the door of the shop, pulled out some chairs and gave us some floristry magazines to look at and offered us a drink. I was impressed. She didn’t have a lot on display in the shop, probably because it was near closing time so I didn’t know what to expect.
She wrote down everything I said I wanted, then showed me photos of things she imaged then sketched what she thought. She even got me to stand up and describe my dress so we could decide on shape and length. She was incredible, I loved her and didn’t care how much she was going to charge!
To my shock and awe her quote was almost HALF what the other florists quoted! I booked her on the spot and left a deposit.
On the day of the wedding, even before I picked up the flowers, everything had gone wrong, but when I saw my bouquet and how it was everything I ever wanted and more, I was content and calm.
Seeing as its my one year wedding anniversary tomorrow, I was remembering the chaos of my wedding day and how the one thing that was actually immaculate were my flowers, so I thought I best write this review already!
She gives a discount to staff from Enoggera Barracks which i think is a sweet gesture, us army wives sure do deserve flowers as frequently as possible.
My husband bought me a bouquet from her a couple weeks ago, she remembered him and that our anniversary was coming and so gave us a box of chocolates to say congratulations. She’s a really sweet lady and I feel bad for not recommending her to anyone until now.
I think her name is Mary, I’m terrible with names, very sorry if it isn’t!
