The Freeway Hotel

This place is the worst. The food is rank, the service ridiculous, and NEVER EVER even contemplate using this place if you have an event or function — unless it’s perhaps a hens or a bucks. You can expect a couple of stripper poles and the red lights to come on half way through your presentation. Oh and there are «I support single mums» t-​shirts for sale with a pole dancer in it, and fair call if you’re a single mum who chooses to strip (you probably get paid better than most) but the general attitude is pretty messed up. Just don’t.

Came here because they were playing the NBA finals. My friend wanted to watch the game but parking in the city is such a pain, so he picked me up and we went here. First 3 hours of parking is free.
He warned me though that the food wasn’t that great. He had a pretty bad chicken schnitzel last time he was here. We sat down, ordered a drink and watched some of the game. The TV’s weren’t great but I don’t have ESPN so I can’t complain.
At the top of the 4^th quarter, we decided to order some food. The menu didn’t look too appealing, or healthy for that matter. My friend tried to order the rump but they didn’t have any so he got the bangers and mash. Even though the salmon was $ 24, I decided to get it because it sounded healthy.
We got our food within 10 minutes or so. The salmon was nicely cooked and it came with Bok Choy and a few other veggies. Halfway through my food, I discovered a hair in th eveggies, which totally grossed me out. I took the food to the bar and told them. They apologized and the guy who took my order initially came out and apologized. He asked if I wanted anything else but the game was about to end and I didn’t want anything that would take ages. So I just asked for a salad. 10 minutes later another salmon with salad came out. No hair but my experience had been tainted.
Nice staff but for $ 24, I expect no hair in my food.
