The breakfast just wasn’t up to standard. Bread wasn’t great and the portion size of the meat was abysmal. For the price I was very disappointed.

Went in for brekky all excited and expecting good food. Instead we received a chilly welcome and shoddy food. The«big» breakfast was anything but. It included amazingly poorly buttered stale soggy bread, a tiny portion of ham that would satisfy an ant or perhaps a vegan, mushrooms and eggs were under seasoned and a tomato that was so undercooked it could have still sprouted a vine. The hash brown was okay.

Having seen this café from the train many times I figured it worth checking out. The coffee was pretty good. Perfect amount of milk and froth, with a generous amount of crema. The woman behind the machine did a fantastic job, and so seeing a silver placing for a coffee competition did not surprise me. However, this café uses Witham’s coffee which is a commercialised bland kind of coffee. If these guys had a more interesting coffee, perhaps a single origin, I would enjoy it alot more.
