Lost amid a sea of colours, decorations and crockery; it’s a bit like entering an Alice of wonderland world for high tea, dinner parties, and afternoon tea. Where was it that I first entered? Where is the exit? What did i come here to buy again? Are all questions that may spring to your mind when you enter. Like getting lost in a world of magic present potential awesomeness, it is reminiscent of Yarraville and Kennsington spots. Amp up the charm factor by having cute little old world stores next to, or on the approach of armadale station, and you can find yourself connected to the past. If only more train stations kept this original setting and feel, replete in grandeur. It makes for an amazing area.

When I first entered, all I could imagine was that they stocked every corner of the store with plain white crockery and then hired a trained team of paint-ballers to endure a rowdy match. What do I mean by this? The store is an amazing splash of vibrant colour. Stepping into this store is like stepping into a rural town in South America, where grim lives and family turmoil are appeased with brightly painted artworks. If you’re looking to give your home a fresh hit of vibrancy, to brighten your lives with a bit of internal sunshine, then Market Import should be your first destination. I do warn you though it’s pretty pricey stuff. As the name implies, everything is imported from provincial towns around the globe, so you’re really buying an artifact when you shop here. Not really, but how else can you justify spending that much money on a plate?
