Great pizzas. If you’re going to pre order I’d recommend the app. It’s always worked really well for me.

Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar in Armadale is most definitely the best place to grab a slice of pizza in the area. Always busy, always popular, where they specialize in making new and interesting pizzas. You are looking at over $ 20 a large pizza but it’s worth it with menu item like; Salmon Benedict. Wagyu Prawn. Pear and Gorgonzola. Mediterranean Vegetable Tiek Pizza. Has that made you want to go yet?

I was easily talked into going here by a mate of mine who I really need to learn to not listen to when it comes to eating. I had my doubts based on his previous recommendations. However, he said«check out their website and tell me you’re not keen», and I did. And I was. So we rock up at this place earlyish. I begin to get that feeling that I was at a fast food place masquerading as a ‘gourmet’ pizza restaurant. The staff are largely very young and fairly inexperienced, but friendly enough. I can’t fault them, really, but I did feel a little like the staff were more like a Maccas staff than a restaurant staff. Then, my margherita was served. It looked, well, okay. The crust was thin, the cheese looked alright, and it generally ticked most boxes for presentation. But the taste itself was pretty average. Really, I’ve learned that if I want good pizza, rely on the old haunts and don’t try any new places. Think of it as Pizza Hut that’s trying to be modern and stylish. That’s my impression.

The expert on pizza that I am, I feel I am qualified enough to state that Crust in Armadale do a pretty damn good pizza. Nice thin crispy base, fresh toppings, and loads of flavour. What more could you want? Crust also do a range of healthy pizzas, and also gluten free pizzas, so really there is no excuse for not trying them out! Because nowadays you can pick up a pizza from almost any corner for around $ 5, Crust may seem very overpriced, but really, its worth it. My personal recommendation is their Waygu beef and peperoni. If you don’t see a combination you like, you can build your own. Crust also deliver.
