I love this place when going for lunch with kids. They are accommodating and the kids meals are well made! Staff are always helpful too. I only wish there were a few more snack /cake options to have with coffee…

Went the Old Vine for a late lunch today. The staff were friendly, but told us on arrival that they would close soon. But the meal service was still slow. The schnitzel was supposed to be spectacular, but it wasn’t, and the mashed potato was almost cold. That alone ruined the meal. We also had a vegi burger. That was OK, but the fries were good. The fries were the only part of the meal that was really enjoyable, and the rest was just OK. The schnitzel had some spice in the crumbs that gave it a bit of an odd flavour. For the money, I think a plain old pub meal would have beaten it hands down and we would have got it for half the price. Definitely would not rush back there. Unfortunate, as we were hungry and looking forward to trying somewhere we had not been to before.

The Old Vine Café is a coffee shop /bar /restaurant in «Old Aldinga». It is positioned close to the intersection between Old Coach Rd and Quinliven Rd, and there is plenty of free parking at the café or next door in the open & unmarked lot. We popped in for a quick afternoon coffee one weekend and there was a local singer/songwriter providing free entertainment for diners. The building is a beautiful heritage cottage that has been tastefully renovated inside. There is a substantial garden out the back for outdoor dining. We had one soy cappucino and a doppio(double piccolo latte) and they were fine, a bit milky but filled a need. The folk in the annexed dining room sounded like they were having a great time. I’d like to return to experience that first hand.

A true hidden gem, great food with good hosts, what more could you ask for. Food allergies no problems either and live music on Sundays, the place to enjoy life.

This café/restaurant is beautifully decorated and with the beautiful fig tree outside that you can sit under and enjoy hearing the birds sing, it is truly a lovely place to catch up with friends for a coffee or celebrate an occasion. Take a night out with your loved one(without the kids) and enjoy a scrumptious meal followed by a decadent dessert. This place boasts friendly service and a cheerful, peaceful atmosphere. I love it!
