The ambience and hospitality is very good. The food is decent and very homely, which I reckon suits the homely environment of Albert Park. I had the angus steak cooked to perfection at medium rare, as requested. My partner had the feta chicken breasts and they were just okay. We both had the sticky date pudding for dessert and it was good. All in all, it is a good environment for a peaceful dining experience, but the standard of the food could be lifted a bit more. It’s not bad, but it just isn’t compelling enough for me to re-visit.

Stumbled on this gem just a few steps from the Bridport roundabout. The menu at the sidewalk said Porterhouse steak so I gave it a try. The side vegetables were as flavourful as the steak, the staff was attentive and the prices were low. So now I’ve been back 4 times, mostly for brunch. My wife raves about the pumpkin and feta crêpe while my 3 year old begs for the pancakes with fresh blueberries. I’m an eggs Benedict lover so the salmon or spinach variety is bliss.
