We were staying a few nights in the area and saw this restaurant and thought we’d give it a go. We both got steak my wife got sirloin cooked to medium I had sirloin with half rack of ribs both were cooked perfectly the ribs full of flavour great presentation and meal came out of the kitchen very quickly. The staff were friendly, professional and always smiling. The restaurant was neatly set out with a good atmosphere. It was moderately buisy but we could still hear and move around. All in all it was a great experience and will definitely come back the next time we are down south.

It almost seemed comical when we were offered the chance just to book a table in this near empty restaurant. Fast forward an hour and the roomy venue was almost at capacity. Thankfully the staff let us have a table with the promise that we’d be done in 90 minutes. The food was well above average but not exceptional. I would happily return for more. A tip — don’t be deterred by their signage, it doesn’t do them justice.

Went to Rustlers as a group for dinner. Nice venue which was busy when we arrived. I noticed the kids were quite happy with the burgers that came their way. My wife had barramundi and salad which she said was fine and tasty but nothing spectacular. I had a medium rump, pepper sauce with fries and salad. It was okay but not spectacular. I guess when you are paying $ 35 odd for a steak you expect slightly better than what you can do at home. Coming from Perth I love the meat from our South West and have a number of butchers I source from for usually delicious rump etc. Coming to a steak house in Albany I was expecting a little more. All in a good tasty meal but not spectacular for the price. Worth a visit if you need a steak fix.

First time I have been to this restaurant was this week. I went in on a Monday night with some work friends. We had no reservation but we’re able to get in straight away. I must say this is probably the best restaurant I’ve been to so far in Albany! Now Rustlers doesn’t have fancy small fine foods, it’s a Meat & Veg kinda place but they do it so well! I had the smaller 200 odd gram sirloin steak that came with a baked potato & sour cream and a quite large salad & had it with ranch dressing. You can choose to have chips instead of a baked potato as well. They have a few different varieties of salad dressings and sauces for your steak. Man! It was char grilled awesomeness on a plate! Such a simple meal but full of flavour! I can’t wait to return to try some of their other cuts of meats! In particular the Ribs look amazing. Now I must say it is a bit expensive. My steak was the cheapest beef meal at $ 29.95 but I don’t mind cause I know it’s going to be good. Other beef meals ranged up $ 45. I think this might be a special occasion place. Full bar available with lots of local wines to choose from. The staff are super friendly & always checked to see how our meals & drinks were placed. The restaurant is quite large with an upstairs seating section as well. It would be a Great place for larger groups & functions. The décor suits the food with bull horns & western themed items around the place. There is a small carpark out the front & public parking across the road. Will definitely be back!

First place to eat in Albany and it didn’t disappoint. Made reservations. Clean and nice atmosphere. Got the fish special, ribs and the chx and rib combo. Fish was great and the ribs r the star of the show. Being from Texas we like our BBQ. They put theirs on the side and glad they did because it’s a little sweet for my taste and their ribs don’t need it they were great on their own. We ended up having leftovers and they r even better a day later. Good first choice!

I like steak, I just like steak, I really do… plus you don’t win friends with salad but they do serve it as a side dish, more for adding some colour to the dish then anything else it is a steakhouse after all. First time rustler, long time steak lover. Does not look that big from the front but extends quite a way into the back and the table are well spaced with plants dotted between tables here and there to give the idea of separation from the neighbouring table. Rustlers serves all the usual suspects in a steak house, sirloin, porterhouse, t-bone, rib eye, scoth fillet, the New Yorker and of course the 16 ouncer. Plus there are the house specialities, horns and prawns, honey, rosemary and lemon lamb rump, steak and ribs for those who after the best of both worlds, also a chicken dish plus a fish dish and a few more that I can’t remember. I decided to go for the steak and ribs combination and I was not disappointed. The steak was glorious, medium rare at its finest and the ribs meaty and the meat was falling off the ribs with ease. The wine selection is extension and showcases a variety of drops from the local region. The two Merlots I sampled were lovely. The coffee tasted like coffee which was an added bonus. The staff were lovely and charming.
