We dropped in here for a few drinks after dinner last night with a group of 10 and walked straight out to the back area where there in another nice outdoor bar. The service although there were so many of us was fantastic! The bartender was very friendly and helpful in choosing a drink for us. I went a few G & T’s asking him to change it up each time. All of which were amazing! Especially one that’s name escapes me where a whole sprig of rosemary was heated all over with a lighter prior to placing in the drink with some fried apple and other things that escape me for now on this slight hangover. Will defiantly be back here and bringing more people to show it off.

Great drinks and a great atmosphere… loved hanging out there with friends. BUT… one of the bartender was an #$$ 4ole when he poured(half) a cocktail and I enquired about it… he replied with an arrogant remark and a childish attitude… would love to go there again but not when he is working…

Very cool little tapas bar. Compact, but with a good atmosphere. Great selection of wines. Amazing tapas selection. DJ playing the decks in the corner(but not too loud).

I’d heard lots about Udaberri so was pleased to be able to finally check it out. Although we got there reasonably early as far as Saturday nights go — it was already busy. The very first thing I noticed was the music; I’m a freaky fan of 80’s Jazz Funk so was pleasantly surprised to hear George Benson pumping out from the sound system, which turned out to be a DJ — female at that. Most impressive. Also impressive was the fact that she was using real vinyl and not CD’s! Having just had an afternoon of drinking gin for World Gin Day, we decided that it would be best to continue the trend so we ordered a couple of(now) faves of Westwind with capsicum and fresh bay leaves. Yum! Impressive also was their prices, which can’t be said of some of the places we visited. Peckish tums demanded that we order some nibbles to go along with our Juniper-inspired delights, so spicy Chorizo sausage and deep fried chunks of potato filled the gap nicely. People watching is a hobby — some say I’m a voyeur — and Udaberri was patronised by a wonderful eclectic blend of all types, ages and creeds. For me, it was a place with a great atmosphere, but not a place that I could spend the whole evening in, certainly a few hours perhaps, before moving on to another of this amazing city’s drinkery’s!

Have been here a few times now, usually later in the evening. This time we arrived early around 6:30pm with the intention of having a few drinks and sampling the tapas available. With a number of craft brews on the tap we grabbed a pint and settled down on a table upstairs to peruse the menu. The bar staff we timely in taking our order. Within 5 minutes the first of the tapas came out, reasonably priced but not cheap, they were very enjoyable. By far the favourite was the mushrooms with egg yolk, absolutely delicious with enough butter to line the stomach before sampling the extensive list of gins on the menu. We moved down stairs and managed to score some seats at the bar, after another beer or two we moved onto the gin menu. Each gin has it’s own match to a tonic and particular garnish, all extremely tasty, the only negative I would have to say was the amount of tonic was too large to truly savour the botanics in the gins. If you’re after a large dinner this probably isn’t the place but if you are after a light supper and some delicious beverages, give it a go. Will be back for more mushrooms and to try the last half of the gin menu.

Very much enjoying the recent small venue licenses of Adelaide! Udaberri is a great concept in a narrow venue with loft fit-out and beautiful exposed stone walls. The food menu is heavily focused on northern Spanish tapas plates. The service has been hit or miss. The market for these small venues is becoming more competitive in that small geographic location, so hopefully theycan iron out any issues and retain a high level of professionalism to serve the upmarket clientele that they’ve been enjoying. Although the bar is narrow and seating can be a challenge, you may have a bout of luck if you try the upstairs portion which overlooks the entire bar and has lovely exposed wooden beams. Great vantage point!

Udaberri is a nice venue for a few after work drinks. I’m a big fan of the whole«small pub/bar» vibe that it gives and seems to push for within Adelaide. The reason i wouldn’t rank it too high is that i cannot see it being a stable bar for years to come. It’s just pushing too much of a hipster vibe. If it evolves successfully, It could become a staple of Adelaide Nightlife

Udaberri is a cool sounding place, and that’s why I thought I had to check it out! I love the wood paneling, funky hanging light bulbs, and the cool beats. Even though it seems small, there is another bar out the back in the garden/smoking area. It would had been better though if they extended their upstairs area too. I heard the cocktails are good here, but unfortunately I couldn’t find a menu to try any. However the drink I had was reasonable. I will have to come back again at some point to give this place another go.

Big fan of the wine and food offerings here. I’ve only been once but will be back. Unlike similar eastern states establishments where theres sufficent competition within a walking distance this place is a bit of a victim of its own uniqueness/success at the moment. It’s often completely packed out by 7pm. Try and get in after work before the crowd hits if standing space only isn’t your thing. Clever Little Tailors just one street over, I really hope these places keep thriving and popping up here.

My favourite wine bar in town! I have been there many times and always will go back there again. Food is fantastic. Some of my favourites are the ribeye steak, chorizos and prawns. You can never go wrong with those 3. I usually just pair it with white wine. I was never a fan of cheese for desserts till I stepped into udaberri. Beautiful cheese selection and I also have a slice of cheesecake to go with that! Staffs are very friendly too. A perfect night out.

Where do you find a great tapas/winebar/dance floor with a great outdoor area? That’s Udaberri.

I love this place, from the great selection of drinks, warm atmosphere, decent genda balance, and efficient staff this is the spot for classy drinks with your friends, catchup with a mate or a chill date. Great selection of on tap cider,(I’ve pretty much always got the Adelaide Hills — can’t go wrong). and beer and great wines(had a Malbec from Mendoza here, took me straight back to my South American trip). If your feeling hungry their Chorizo and Potatoes are pretty decent. But their Pancetta in my opinion was not worth it, very gourmet(they slice it off fresh from the huge hunk of meat out back) but pricey. Your not coming here for bargain basement student pricing and sticky floors are you? For me this bar is fast becoming a favourite of mine for drinks

Packed and pricey with the music far too loud for 6pm. At that time you want to chill out and chat with louder music happening later on. If you do manage to squeeze your way in, try and get upstairs where it’s not so packed, or better yet stay out on Leigh Street.

This place is sooooo cute! Nice timber tables and chairs, a very warm feel to it. We had the greatest time enjoying some local wine. Arrive early to nab a stool on the large outdoor table and watch the people pass by on their way home from work. I haven’t eaten at this place so can’t say anything about the food. I tried to order Churros but after ordering it and sitting down with my wine the bartender told me they weren’t ready for Churros yet. Haha– why can’t I have a pre-dinner dessert? Anyway wasn’t the end of the world. Definitely worth a try if you’re in the area!

Super hip place to be seen. Good wine list, with plenty of unusual varieties to try. Let the knowledgeable bar staff guide you through making a beverage decision.

What a hidden little gem this place is! Blink and you’ll miss it while walking past. Has a sort of New York City or Melbourne laneway bar feel to it. And for a Tuesday night it was teaming with people and energy. A great drinks list. Some killer cocktails. Friendly, helpful bar staff. And an interesting upstairs loft type section where you can grab a lounge seat and chill — unless we’ve beaten you to it! Can’t speak for other evenings but this is great for a Tuesday drink before or after latin dancing across the street at Casablabla!

I finally got a chance to pop into this Leigh Street tapas & wine bar on a Tuesday night after dinner. While Tuesday might seem like a quiet night, the place was still packed. I didn’t actually realise how large it was. There’s an upstairs area, with stairs hidden up the back. We didn’t venture up there, but I peaked up through the railings to take a look. You almost feel like you’ve stepped into a speakeasy. There’s something hidden and secretive about the venue(made even more so by the fact that even from the outside it’s hard to spot). There’s a huge wine list, but I wasn’t drinking wine, instead the Espresso Martini was my drink of choice. It almost reminded me of drinking a Vietnamese ice coffee, delicious.
