Yum! I just finished some ridiculously delicious tacos for lunch as Taco Cat is on North Terrace today outside Adelaide Uni. The tacos come of soft, gluten free, corn tortillas and which are lovely in themselves. Then the fillings. Free range chicken, so many delicious onion tricks, seasoned avocado, refried beans, crispy potatoes(I’m listing things that are found in two varieties but all were equally delicious). Perfect for coeliacs, all of the fillings are GF so 0% chance of cross-contamination. They have a vegan/vegetarian option too! You can add fresh lime, hot sauce, cactus paddles(so good!) to your tacos and they were so nice. Fresh, flavour-filled and interesting. Next time I see them I will be visiting again.

Keep an eye out on the streets for an old Green and Yellow Caravan. Inside you’ll find some well made and very tasty Tacos,(and sometimes something special — Tortilla Soup anyone)

The taco cat is well deserving of 5 stars. Firstly the service is super friendly and personable. Even when they’re busy those at the taco cat smile like Cheshire cats. There are some meat options, the meaty people all looked happy, like lions with their freshly caught deer. So I’d hazard a bet the meat is meatsational. Then there is the delicious señor Gary, vegan or vegetarian. It comes on a soft taco, with a delicious mix of fried potatoes and black beans as well as some avocado and other vegies. In addition to your taco there is a spectacular array of condiments. I had the hot! sauce, the cactus paddles and a squeeze of fresh lime. There were also radishes available and another less hot sauce. Taco cat goes to a few different places, I have visited when they’re at Flinders and have not been disappointed yet. As far as Mexican goes tacocat is what I’m taco-in about.
