Cheap and cheerful, when all you need is somewhere to rest before going out and hitting the town again the next day. Upon arrival I was a little thrown due to reception being in a separate building to the rooms, luckily upon approaching the reception desk again they had forgotten to give me a map. Rooms were clean and comfortable and had all the things one needs, including airconditiong and the ability to change it yourself! WiFi is available in room, but it’s not free so you’re usually better off tethering from your own phone. Location is on the edge of the CBD, close to Chinatown(and Coles at the Markets) and restaurants along Gouger Street. Walking to the CBD for shopping is possible, but probably not the best thing to do with an arm full of shopping afterwards. If you’re looking for somewhere to say that’s not a hostel or backpackers and aren’t fussy, I’d think about staying here again.

Pros: Pretty clean, comfortable rooms with most everything you need. The«apartment» rooms have a fridge, wardrobe, tv, desk, comfy bed, iron + board, microwave & tea pot, shower with a bath, and some space to move around comfortably. Someone is at the front desk 24 hours and you have air conditioning controls in your room. They also have parking if you decide you want to pay for that($ 10 per night), but while I was there street parking was usually available for free at night — just have to move it during the day. Location is also pretty good — lots of restaurants are just down the street, which is very convenient. Not necessarily the best restaurants in town, or the most happening neighborhood(compared to the North Terrace), but paying for parking downtown can be quite expensive. Cons: Though the room is good, it’s a little hard to judge this place because they change the prices radically from day to day — sometimes my room was $ 134, sometimes $ 184, which they said they do because demand for rooms changes from day to day … so definitely make sure you confirm the price of your room for your entire stay. Also, you probably want to wash the dishes yourself before you use them …
