Specialties

Great for cheap food and drinks, The Astor Hotel is tucked away from the CBD, for those of you who just want to get away from the hustle and bustle.

There are specials on everyday, we have a $ 12 lunch menu that runs from 11am-3pm everyday, there’s lots to choose from!

With enthusiastic and cheery staff, who love to have a chat, you can be sure you’ll be well looked after. We love to see customers with a smile on their faces.

Happy Hour runs every weekday from 5−7pm, with selected Aussie Beers at $ 5/Pint, and Selected Wines $ 5.00/glass, making sure you get good value for your hard earned money at knock-off time!

Boasting five function rooms (No Room Hire*!!), there’s definitely something for everyone, whether it be a 21st, 50th, engagement, or even just a family BBQ. Just ask any of the staff to give you the grand tour!

History

Established in 1858.

First established as the Labour in Vain, way back in 1858, the hotel has had monikers such as ’ Perseverance’ in 1862, the ‘Hanson’ in 1952, and finally The Astor that we have all come to know and love in 1991.

The Astor was once the home of the famous ‘Two Dogs Lemonade’. We still have a bottle of it knocking around here somewhere!

We suspect the walls have seen a lot of things…
