History

Established in 2001.

It began in 2001 with one young man and one old van. The young man, Tim Bishop, was a student doing removals for extra cash. The rusty old van was spray painted and had seen some epic road trips and festivals. Tim began moving other students — lashing onto the roof racks anything that wouldn’t fit. Tim’s cheap and friendly service was a hit. He joined forces with old school mate James Bowden and they bought van number two. Sitting in Tim’s folks’ backyard one sunny afternoon they decided to revolutionalise removals. But first they would need another van. The vans, and the men to drive them, have multiplied like Gremlins ever since. Trucks have joined the fleet of iconic shiny black and white wheels busily moving Melbourne everyday. 10 years later Melbourne removals has changed forever, but Tim and James’ goal is still the same as it was that sunny afternoon — to be the biggest and best small mover in Melbourne.
