Super acogedor.

Food: 4.0÷5.0 Service: 4.0÷5.0 Value: 4.0÷5.0 Décor: 3.0÷5.0 Overall: 4.0÷5.0 Very large steak portions with solid cuts of beef(for reference, the filets were 400g in three pieces and the sirloin and ribeye were 500g in two pieces). The steaks were all well cooked and English was not a problem. I did have a ribeye that was oversalted. The sides and starters were all good, and the dulce de leche dessert was popular around the table. This, surprisingly, was one of the best all-around meals I’ve had in the last several days in Argentina.(Who knew that this would happen in Bariloche?!) 8:30pm is the last reservation slot available, after which all seatings are walk-ins — the wait on a weekday walk-in was something on the order of 30 – 60 minutes.

Came to Argentina for vacation and went on Unilocal to see what was around the area, saw this restaurant was near by and rated very well! So I decided to go and try it out! The first time we went it was too full and the wait was too long, therefore I had to leave because we were very hungry! I finally went the next day and we waited around 45 minutes. It is a small cozy restaurant on top of a little hill. It also has an amazing view if you sit outside! The place has the best meats, I had the entraña, it was amazing, the best I’ve had! Over all I really liked this place, the service is also very good, they treat you well, and try their best to make you happy… Now warning make reservations, it’s always full and you might have to wait a really long time.

The best steak of my life. Try the rib eye and orange juice. The waiters and chef are really nice and happy. I hope that I can’t go again since I am from Seattle in the U.S. Gracias por su carne y servicios!

This little charming restaurant was recommended to us by our hostel receptionist and we are very thankful he did! The place is really cosy and warm which is great on cold nights. You obviously go there if you like meat(all parts of the cow, pork, lamb). Our waiter was very nice to translate all the Spanish words in English(even with some extra gestures when we didn’t know it in English either). Based on his recommendations we opted for ojo de bife(500g of ribeye, as suggested you better share it with one or even two persons) and for entranas(skirt steak). Even though the second choice seemed a bit scary, it was absolutely delicious. The cooking was perfect and the taste also! We added some french fries(not so good) and salad as sides but the meet only was enough. Quantities are crazy. Although we weren’t hungry at all anymore, we ordered a white/black chocolate mousse with caramel and peanuts as desert for 3 because it looked so great on the table behind us. Very nice evening!

Sublime.

Heard from the locals that this place was the parilla to go to in Bariloche, over the more touristy, well-known El Boliche de Alberto. I didn’t try El Boliche de Alberto but I did try El Tio Boliche, which was good but not as good as this. Alto El Fuego is, without exaggeration, where I’ve had the best steak in my life. When someone asks me that question, I tell them this small restaurant in this town in Patagonia. The rib eye steak was just incredibly juicy, tender, and delicious. After trying it, my friends and I came back here for our final night in Bariloche. I usually like my steak medium rare, which is what I asked for my first time here and it was a bit too bloody. So I’d recommend going one above what you order in the US. I got it medium the second time and it was perfect. It was very easy to get seated on a Friday night without a reservation, just a short wait. The décor is very homey and cozy. Servers are very friendly. Enjoy your steak with a bottle of Malbec that they recommend. I don’t know if it was just the currency exchange rate but everything here was unbelievably affordable for a regular, much less the best steak of my life.

Best parilla in Bariloche. The meat is always a cut above, service exceptional and the food comes quickly. Be sure to have the proveleta, chorizo, matambre and any other steak.

This was the place to go we were told! It was just ok. The chorizo was very large but flavorless compared to better we have had. The steaks were average. Service was fine. Place was packed and glad we had reservations

My husband and I visited Bariloche with our ski club and through the grapevine we heard that Alto el Fuego was THE best place to eat. We had dinner here with a small group and basically ordered one of every cut of steak: rib eye, skirt steak, filet, and a few sausages. We shared some fries and other appetizers. OMG. Everything was AMAZING. We couldn’t believe it. The servers saw us taking photos of our meal and even invited me in to the kitchen to meet everyone and take their photo! It was hilarious! Our group of friends came back multiple times during our week in Bariloche. Come if you can! You won’t regret it!
