Rodelo is a small bistro in almost the center of Neuquen. Just before Christmas they start to slow down a bit* and were out of a few types of wine. No matter — there were 18(yes count them… eighteen) Malbecs on the menu ranging in price from $ 9 to $ 25USD — crazy good. For our meal we all had various meats cooked over an open fire and brought to our table as they were ready. Good times. Service and wine were exceptional. *In Argentina mid-December is the beginning of their summer break — the same as June in the US. Many restaurants in more touristy areas shut down for several months because traffic is slow due to the holidays and vacations.
